On 10♥10♥2011...

We celebrated our very FIRST anniversary!!
We decided to go to the renaissance festival, which really did turn out great. It was a cool day, cloud covered, on the verge of raining but never a drop.
We dined on fabulous turkey legs and bought the most exquisite incense from a place called My Lady's Chamber. Not only did it smell wonderful, I found that she makes all of it homemade! The owner told me all about the process. She described it as if you were making a cookie dough! Who would have thought? I got the biggest kick out of that. She had made a lot of traditional scents of incense, along with many of her own creations. One of our favorites is called Byblos-it has a leathery kind of smell! She also makes milk powder for baths, oils, soaps, everything homemade. myladyschamber.com
Levi found a rather large-feathered hat and I coaxed him into putting it on for the camera!
Myla looks like a french young man.
This was the little "parade" thing that came through--the drumming was the best part.
Christa, letting her finer side show as she guts                                    her gourd.
                   My semi-functional family.
The view down our street gets better and better                               every day.
Levi and I finally had some time to go see my mom & Terry. As we were driving to visit them, the sun was setting over the flint hills and it just                               made us feel
                         ...Oh so at home.
